20 Questions - Get To Know Me (Part 1)

Photo Captured: By me. Found some decent lighting in the house and set the self timer on my phone | Hair: Short curly kinky twist bob, also done by me | Long Pinstripe Black Blazer: £1 Charity Shop | Grey Jeans: £12.99 New Look

I guess a good way to continue with the action on here would be to answer a couple of questions so you can get to know a bit more about me. Feel free to also comment below your answers to the questions - I would like to read them.

1 | How many countries have you been to?

I have been to four countries - China, Nigeria, United States and Germany.

2 | List two pet peeves.

Poor communication (there's literally no excuse in this digital era we live in today) and negative people.

3 | Are you a good cook?

I think I am a decent cook. I can crack the basic dishes: rice, noodles, pasta. If you want to talk about the traditional Nigerian cuisines such as Pounded Yam, Efo Riro etc... Hmm, let's just say I'm a work in progress haha.

4 | Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Interesting question. In general, I would like to say I am a morning person however I don't like waking up early. I get the most work done during the day but I find that the creative switch of my brain turns on during the late hours of the night which is when I tend to edit photos, write content for the blog.

5 | Are you high maintenance? Explain.

Urmmm. No not really. I like to look good and presentable however I stick to my regular routines that I've been doing since forever. Fun fact: The hairstyle you see in the image above was done with  kinky twist braiding hair that I have reused multiple times for different hairstyles since Summer 2016. I like to save that cointttt. And yes, I do my hair myself.

6 | Are you listening to music right now?

Yes. At the moment I'm in a season of just giving thanks to God so I've been playing some praise/worship music: You Are God Alone, You Deserve It, Everlasting God

7 | Are you more inclined to “build your own empire” or unleash the potential of others?

At this point in my life (early 20's) I think it is important for me to channel my energy into 'building my empire'. I think your twenties really set off the tone for how the rest of your life will be so I believe in hustling with intention and purpose. Of course, I have a heart for serving and inspiring others and I try to do so in any capacity that I can be it through writing on this page, assisting in events within my Church community, going on brunches with friends and boosting their confidence by engaging in fruitful discussion etc.

I also think that through 'building my empire', I subconsciously unleash the potential of others so in two respects I am killing two birds with one stone.

8 | Are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage it head-on?

Avoid conflict. Not a fan of fighting or abusing people. I like to resolve issues in the most respectable manner possible as I believe that there is something I can learn about myself or the other person in the midst of conflict.

9 | Before you started these questions, what were you doing?

Watching Pixiwoo YouTube videos. An old favourite.

10 | Can you close your eyes and raise your eyebrows?

Yes - just tried.

11 | Can you do a split?

Na mate.

12 | Can you touch your nose with your tongue?

Nope.

13 | Can you whistle?

Yes.

14 | Do you believe in love at first sight?

Ha. No. That's just ridiculous. I mean you can be physically attracted to someone at first sight, but love? I don't think so.

15 | Do you eat breakfast every morning?

No, I don't but I know I need to try my best to eat in the mornings!

16 | Do you like to dance?

Yes I do - whether I am good at it or not, that is debatable. I can definitely show you how to Shoki though?

17 | Do you prefer Titanic or The Notebook?

I have only watched the Titanic so I can't form an opinion on that.

18 | Do you really know all the words to your national anthem?

*pauses*
*sings* God save our gracious Queen...

Yeah, urm, no.

19 | Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.

"Values provide focus and direction for (in this instance) financial success and give your desires more meaning" - Motivate Yourself by Andro Donovan

20 | Have you ever won a trophy?

I got a Head Girl trophy for when I was a Head Girl back in 2014 at school.
